Welcome to Preschool! This will be a year of magical wonder and amazing growth for your child. I encourage you to contact me if you have any questions or concerns at any time. I am looking forward to learning and growing with your child this year!
6 cups water
6 Tbsp. oil
Food coloring
6 cups flour
3 cups salt
6 tsp. alum
2 Tbsp. hand lotion
Boil water, oil, and food coloring. Pour over the flour, salt and alum mixture. Add the hand lotion and mix together. Knead the dough until it becomes soft and smooth. Store in an airtight container. You may send to school in a large Ziploc bag.
Play dough calendars will be sent home each month in your child's pencil pouch. Your child will probably be scheduled to make play dough only once or twice throughout the school year. Your child may bring their batch of play dough on the first preschool day of their scheduled week. The monthly calendar can also be found on your child's class page.
Each month, your child will bring home a family project to complete. You may decorate these any way you choose, using items you already have on hand around your home. When your child returns their project, he/ she will have a turn to share it with their classmates before displaying it in our classroom. If you need another copy of a project, you may download a new one at any time using the Files for You section on your child's class page.
